Summary
B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) is a three year undergraduate course for students aspiring to become leaders in the field of Commerce and Trade. The focus is on creating a talent pool with several specializations. Students are taught core subjects related to Commerce, Finance, Human Resource & Marketing. The programme is spread over six semesters. The programme is so conceived that it equips the students with a wide range of managerial skills and competence. The programme ensures that in addition to their regular core subjects the students are exposed to major general business principles. They are taught courses like Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Marketing, Human Resource, Economics, Statistics and Computers.
The students graduating from the School of Commerce will find themselves placed in various positions in realm of Accounts, Auditor, Business Consultant, Consultant, Certified Public Accountants, Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant, Business Analyst, Chief Finance Officers, Finance Consultant, Finance Officer, Marketing Managers, HR Managers, Sales Analyst, Estimator, Junior Analyst, Tax Accountant, Financial Analyst, Stock Broker, Financial Manager, Economist, Business Development Trainee, Tax Consultant, Bank PO, Commodity Trader, Account Executive, Event Manager, Sales Manager, HR Consultant etc. etc.
Admission Guidelines
Following are the documents needed in original for admission for UG Course
Karnataka Students
- Class X or SSLC Marks Card
- PUC or +2 or class XII or Equivalent Marks Card
- TC (Transfer Certificate)
- Passport size photographs in formal dress 06 no.s
- Caste Certificate and Income Certificate if applicable
- Aadhar Card Photocopy
Non – Karnataka Students
- Class X or SSLC Marks Card
- PUC or +2 or class XII or Equivalent Marks Card (I & II Year)
- TC (Transfer Certificate)
- Migration Certificate
- Passport size photographs in formal dress 06 no.s
- Caste Certificate and Income Certificate if applicable
- Aadhar Card Photocopy
Foreign Students
- Marks Statements of respective country equivalent to higher Secondary
- Testimonials
- Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
- Birth Certificate
- Residential Certificate from their country.
- Provisional Eligibility Certificate
- Valid Student Visa
- Copy of Passport attested by Gazetted Officer.
- Passport size photographs in formal dress 10 no.s
Admission without the submission of original certificates will only be provisional.
Incomplete Application will not be processed
- The applicant should be personally present for Admission along with the Parent/ Guardian.
- The Candidate should satisfy all the other conditions set by Bangalore University.
- After the counselling/ Interview, the candidate selected shall be enrolled after the payment of fee as per the fee structure. Final admission is subject to the University’s approval.
- No transfer from one discipline to any other is permitted.
- Conditions Pertaining to submission of documents
- At the time of admission, candidate must submit all the original documents, copies and other relevant documents as well as a hard copy of the completed application form.
- Students should ensure that they keep a photocopy of the documents for themselves before submitting the same to the Academic department.
- The original documents submitted will be returned to the students only after the end of the programme.
- University Registration and Semester Exams to be paid extra as per the University regulations
- Students outside of Karnataka PU Board will be charged Rs. 12,000/- extra as Non-Karnataka Fees
- NRI Students will be charged Rs. 30,000/- extra as NRI Fees
Admission is subject to final approval of Bangalore University.
